Digitisation of services in any country increases accessibility and brings the convenience of automation, something that has long been needed. In Malawi, the Department of the Registrar introduced automation of services and payments to enhance service delivery for citizens, and since 2022, significant improvements have been achieved.
The platform now has over 86,000 registered users and has processed more than 171,000 applications. Some of its key features include:
Online Services: Citizens can access all business registration services through the platform. They simply fill out an online form and, upon submission and payment, download the respective permit.
Single Sign-On (SSO): With one account—a single username and password—citizens can seamlessly access Malawi Business Registration services.
Convenience: The platform allows users to access services and make payments from anywhere, offering the comfort and efficiency that modern service delivery demands.
